On Wednesday, the junior room went on their school tour to Turoe Pet Farm.
We had a super busy day running around the jungle gym, feeding and petting all the lovely farm animals, swinging and sliding in the playground and lastly bouncing around in inflatable city.
We had such a brilliant day.
Have a look at some of the photos from our fantastic trip!
Due to the lovely weather this week we decided that it was the perfect week to hold ‘Active Schools Week’.
Each classroom were busy completing lots of extra active activities each day. On Wednesday the whole school, together with some of the pupils in Footsteps Preschool, took part in active stations outside. On Thursday the senior room travelled to Breaffy for a rounders activity day. Instead of written homework each night, we received ‘active homework’ where we had to do an extra active activity each night! We wish every week was active schools week!!
We had a super week in the sun and really enjoyed active schools week. Have a look at some pictures from our busy week.
Today we celebrated Mayo day in Glencorrib N.S. and Footsteps Pre-School. We all came to school in lovely green and red colours!
It was a particularly green day as we all spent lots of time out in the garden planting new summer flowers in our window boxes and also some potatoes and onions in our vegetable garden.
To top it all off, today we get to bring home our cress, spinach and peas, which we planted a couple of weeks ago as part of the sow and grow programme. We can’t wait to use them in our cooking this weekend!
What a great Mayo day all round! Have a look at some pictures of the day!
