Yesterday, there was great excitement in Glencorrib N.S ahead of our school tour to Let’s Go camp in Castlebar.
We travelled by bus to the ‘Breaffy Sports Arena’ where we were split into groups. Throughout the day we completed a range of fun and exciting activities including the spider tower, zorbing, cup stacking, pony rides, disco dome, wobbly ladder and many many more.
It was a fantastic day and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

This year we are busy working on our Green Schools Travel Flag.
Yesterday was Green Schools National WOW Day which was aimed at promoting walking to school as a more environmentally friendly method of travel. To celebrate WOW day, we organised a whole school walk around the local area of Glencorrib.
We walked a total distance of 4KM which we thought was excellent, particularly for our junior room!
Well done to all our pupils on such a fantastic effort.
Well done to Luke and Kevin on their fantastic success with Moyne Villa Soccer club.
The boys play on different teams within the club and both teams have gone on to win the Galway U12 Soccer Championship.
This is a fantastic achievement and we are all very proud of them here in Glencorrib N.S. They kindly brought their medals and trophies to school to show all of the other boys and girls.
This week we’ve all been busy in the garden.
The senior room planted some lovely, bright, summer flowers in the window boxes and they also picked some fresh rhubarb from the fruit and vegetable garden.
Some of the junior room pupils brought their broad beans back into school to show us how much they have sprouted over the Easter holidays.
We are so proud of how excellent all of our pupils are at working in the garden! Keep on eye on our school over the next few weeks and watch our window boxes come into full bloom!
