Bright and early last Thursday morning, we all boarded the train in Claremorris, set for one of our most exciting school tours yet, Dublin Zoo!
We had great fun on the train playing lots of games, but we couldn’t wait to arrive in Heuston Station and make our way to the zoo.
Shortly after 11am we arrived at the zoo. We were greeted by one of their lovely tour guides who brought us on our very own tour of the African Plains. In the African Plains we got to see and learn about lots of animals, including the giraffes, zebras, monkeys, rhinos and many more. It was really interesting and exciting!
After our tour, we had a little picnic in the zoo before we set off on another trip around with our teachers. We got to see the elephants, reptile house, tigers, flamingos, spotted dogs, among many others!
We had such a great day and loved meeting all the animals!
Have a look at our cool pictures from the trip!
