Well done to all our pupils on a fantastic performance tonight at their Christmas play “A Midwife Crisis.” We are so proud of each and every one of them.
The Inspection Report for the recent curriculum evaluation in maths is now available to view in the downloads section of our website.
The children had an incredible week conducting experiments as you can see from the photos.
Our Junior Room completed a STEM challenge as part of Science Week. Each group were given the task of designing and building the tallest and most stable tower they could with 50 lollipop sticks and some bluetac. We all really enjoyed this activity and created some very impressive designs! Well done boys and girls!
Today was ‘Experiment Day’ in the Junior Room for Science Week. We investigated the density of liquids by making a rainbow in a jar! We had great fun and were very excited by the final result! Have a look and see what you think of our rainbow! 🌈
2nd Class visited the Senior Room today to make lava lamps as part of Science Week. This was a very cool experiment which we all really enjoyed!
A very warm welcome to our new junior infant pupils this year. We are delighted they have joined our school community and look forward to helping them on their learning journey.
The staff and Board of Management of Glencorrib NS would like to thank our parents, past pupils, families and members of the community for demonstrating such wonderful support to our “All Day Relay” fundraiser. It was fantastic to have so many of you join us on the day for a lap or two on our Community Walkway. To date, we have raised an amazing €2,660!
Your continued support of our school is greatly appreciated! 🙂
This year our annual school fundraiser will be an "All Day Relay" with donations being collected online via iDonate.ie
For the All Day Relay our pupils and staff will be making use of our wonderful new Community Walkway and we will ensure that from 9:30am to 2:30pm there will be a number of our pupils walking on the track at all times (class groups will take it in turns to keep the relay going.) Parents, past pupils and members of the community are welcome to join us for a lap or two throughout the day if they wish to do so.
We hope to hold this relay the week of the 13th of June but, to ensure we have a dry day for this activity, we will confirm the date closer to the time.
Well done to Tomás and Harry who represented our school in the South Mayo Cross Country Competition yesterday in Ballinrobe.
We are very proud of both boys who ran so brilliantly in their respective categories.
Tomás will now go on to compete in the county final in October after finishing 5th in his race. An amazing achievement!
