Dear Parents, Prospective Parents and Members of our Local Community,
Earlier this year, we published the results of the Department of Education Primary School Survey for Glencorrib NS and invited members of our wider community to share their views.
Our parental survey results on school patronage were very close, with 47% of parents in favour of changing patronage and 53% in favour of remaining under Catholic patronage.
As part of the next stage of this process, the Department of Education has asked us to hold a community meeting to gather the views of our wider school community. This will take place in the school on Tuesday 29th September from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This is an important opportunity for members of our school community to have their say, whether their preference is to remain under Catholic patronage or to change patronage. All views are welcome and will be considered before the Board of Management makes its final decision in October.
We strongly encourage anyone with an interest in the future patronage of our school to attend and make their views known.
